Chunkle & Puff began in the gap between what people buy for cats and what cats actually want. Each piece starts as a study in shape, weight, texture, color, and scent, all in service of one tiny miracle: making a cat stop, notice, stalk, and play.
Every Chunkle begins as a design problem: what shape will catch the eye, what weight will feel alive, what texture will invite the paw, and what scent will pull a cat back for another round.

Hi, I’m Allison Zank, the founder of Chunkle & Puff. I’m a chemist, microbiologist, artist, and lifelong cat obsessive. I approach each toy as a small study in feline instinct considering the shape, weight, texture, scent, and the details that make a cat stop and notice.
Josie
Hi, I’m Josie. When I’m not singing opera or substitute teaching, I spend my free time crocheting and doting on cats. I love the focus and artistry of making by hand and the joy of turning yarn into pieces full of care, charm, and personality.
Charlie
Hi, I’m Charlie, the maker behind Rainy Day Creation. I discovered crochet in 2024 and quickly fell in love with turning yarn into playful, handmade plushies. Each piece is made with care, personality, and the hope that it brings a little joy to its new home.
Summer
Hi, my name is Summer! I’m a stay-at-home mom with a passion for crocheting. In 2022, I started my Etsy shop, Summer Raye Crochets, where I create customized crocheted cat plushies. I love knowing that my creations bring happiness to my customers and their cats.
Finished the Chunkle & Puff way
Every Chunkle has to earn its place in the world. Every toy is inspected and detailed for structure, balance, stitch quality, scent, expression, and presentation before it leaves the studio. All are checked in-house until the piece feels exactly as intended. Minor variations are part of handmade work, but the final feel, finish, and your cat's safety are never left to chance.
